Imagery Update: Concrete Sarcophagus at Taleghan 2 Nears Completion
Recent satellite imagery shows that the construction of a concrete sarcophagus around the newly built facility at Taleghan 2 at the Parchin military site has progressed over the last month, to a point where the facility itself is now unrecognizable, another indication of the strategic importance of the facility to the Iranian regime.
Recent Satellite Imagery shows the Construction of a Concrete Sarcophagus over Taleghan 2
Based on the most recent Airbus OneAtlas imagery available of the Taleghan 2 site taken on December 25, 2025, the Iranians appear to be about mid-way through in the construction of a concrete sarcophagus to encase the metal arched roof that covers the central main facility.
Imagery Update of Activities at North Korea’s Yongbyon Site
In his November 2025 statement to the Board of Governors, the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) Director General’s statement included new information about nuclear activities at the Yongbyon nuclear center. While the IAEA did not issue a formal report, his statement is worth incorporating into recent satellite imagery analysis.

ISIS'@DAVIDHALBRIGHT1 talked to @STLiechtenstein @AP on the key Iranian nuclear assets that need to be secured and protected if chaos ensues and the government loses control over certain factions or regions: Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile, where theft is a key risk, and the operating nuclear power reactor at Bushehr in the south of Iran. “Two people can easily carry it,” he said of a container of 60 percent highly enriched uranium. Iran’s reactor in Bushehr could get sabotaged or targeted with the aim of causing havoc or making a political point, Albright said. He indicates that the responsibility to secure the reactor lies not only with Iran: Russia provides the fuel for Bushehr, and in the case of an accident, winds could carry the fallout to neighboring states United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman, within 12 to 15 hours.
