Better late than let this outrageous, dishonest comment by Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi slip by: “Framing Iran as a responsible actor under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Araghchi rejected claims of weapons ambitions. ‘Our track record reflects transparency and consistent compliance—we’ve never pursued weapons of mass destruction,’ he stated at the Tehran International Dialogue Forum."

Iran is mocking the NPT and the IAEA with statements like these. NPT signatory countries and IAEA member states around the world should be outraged. Good time for the IAEA inspectors to present their comprehensive report on Iran’s safeguards issues to the Board, and for the Board to label Iran‘s safeguards violations as such. Then refer the Iran nuclear file once again to the Security Council.
