A high resolution commercial satellite image of the North Korean Yongbyon nuclear center. The major facilities are located both directly north of and in the meander of the Kuryong river. Plutonium for nuclear weapons is made in the 5 megawatt-electric (MWe) reactor, which receives its fuel from the Fuel Fabrication Complex. The plutonium is separated in a facility across the river. A centrifuge facility produces highly enriched uranium for nuclear weapons.
