The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), a Capitol Hill-based non-profit research organization concerned with nuclear arms reduction and non-proliferation, seeks qualified undergraduate and graduate students or recent graduates for a Full-Time Internship for Summer 2008 (May-August).
Since our inception in 1993, we have produced award-winning and internationally recognized assessments of secret nuclear weapons programs in Iraq, North Korea, South Africa and elsewhere. We have compiled comprehensive estimates of global stocks of nuclear explosive materials, and continue to seek a global production cutoff of these materials for weapons. We have also provided critical information in support of efforts to reduce the size of the U.S. nuclear arsenal and production complex, to make nuclear programs more transparent, to end nuclear testing, and to prevent the future development of new types of nuclear weapons by all countries.
Intern Qualifications: Qualified applicants should have some background in the international relations / national security field. Prior intern or job experience not required.
